tHIS WAS A FASHION SHOOT FOR MODEL AND INFLUENCER, JACQUELINE ILUMOKA. WE WANTED TO CAPTURE THE BEAUTY OF THE DRESS AND IT'S flower design. AS A RESULT i CHOSE A GARDEN LIKE LOCATION WHICH COMPLIMENTED THE DRESS WELL. I THEN USED THE IMAGES AS A BASIS FOR A STORY in poem form.

sUN DANCE

We used to come here.
Be here.
I was free here.
With you.
You made me smile.
I was happy.
I was safe.
But was I?
I undressed myself before you.
Opened the gates to my garden.
Let you pick the flowers freely.
I wanted you to have enough.
But my soil was infertile.
The nutrients taken hadn’t been replenished.
I watched the flowers I gave you wither in your hands.
I tried to water it, make something grow again.
I watched, and waited, and watered.
Nothing came.
Soon you left the garden, and closed the gates behind you.
I tried to run away from my garden,
but I had nowhere else to go.
So I stayed there.
Eventually it rained again.
The nutrients in the soil slowly restored.
Now I dance in the sun, as it heals my scars.
And give love to my garden, even when the gates are closed.
